I strive to source my materials locally in Christchurch whenever possible. However, on occasion, when inspiration strikes, I venture nationally and internationally to acquire specific items.
Absolutely! If you have a specific piece in mind or are seeking something unique, I'm delighted to discuss your ideas and collaborate on sketches to bring our vision to life together.
Yes, most pieces can be shipped. Please email me with any inquiries and for quotes on prices for specific pieces.
Stained glass pieces are crafted using two methods: copper foil and traditional lead. Both methods involve the use of lead, with the copper foil method containing less. It is recommended to thoroughly wash your hands after handling any piece.
Yes, but it's not required frequently. To clean your glass piece, lay it as flat as possible on a clean surface. Apply a coat of non-abrasive car polish to the entire piece and allow it to dry to a white film. Then, using a soft, clean, lint-free cloth, polish it off. If you don't have access to car polish, you can also use Pledge dusting spray by spraying and wiping it down to keep your piece clean and shiny.
Yes!
While I am unable to run classes from my own studio due to size, I am excited to be teaching classes with Trinity Glass in Fitzgerald Ave, Christchurch. Classes run in 5 week sets, for 2 hours on a Wednesday night. Classes book up fast to contact the team via their website to get a space. We do hope to be offering more nights throughout the week very soon to keep up with demand.
